CASSINI'S MISSION

My review for this week is one Jan would appreciate. Cassini's Mission, by Katie Venit, rendered beautifully by Julia Blattmann, is on my mind because sci fi is always on my mind, but especially because our family just watched Elio, which features Voyager as an inspiration point. I fully believe Katie's book about the Cassini mission to Saturn can serve equally inspirationally. It's poetic, it's inspiring, and it's visionary, personifying Cassini to make it accessible without cartoonifying. And Julia Blattmann's painterly illustrations are just perfect, with loving, accurate detail and scale. End of review. Go listen to our chat with Katie Venit if you haven't already.
