And my review is for our buddy Katie Venit's recently released book FORTS, illustrated by Kenard Pak. If you haven't listened to our chat with Katie yet, what are you even doing? She talks a lot in our chat about how this book came to be, but I will skip that because this is a review.

FORTS is a glorious celebration of disconnecting to connect, of being self sufficient, creative, and one with the world in a way that makes children feel safe and imaginative. It's a celebration of all the ways kids create forts in their world, sure, but it's also a challenge to kids who may be prone to screens to look at all the many examples Katie and Kenard, with his beautiful collage-ish style, illustrate, and start to build some forts within their lives.
