THE STUFF BETWEEN THE STARS

Josh's review for the week is nerdy in the best way, and well timed to align with the launch of Artemis II last week. The Stuff Between the Stars is at once two complicated stories: the story of Vera Rubin's struggle for recognition in a very male-dominated field, and the struggle to understand the very fabric of the universe. Pun sort of intended, dark matter is a dense idea for even adults to grasp, but author Sandra Nickel and illustrator Aimee Sicuro do a great job of painting a swirly picture of how the math just doesn't math when it comes to the part of the universe we can literally see. It's an education and an inspiration. Now go watch some Artemis II videos!
